EDUCATE • MOBILIZE • EMPOWER We are DiveN2Life.

DiveN2Life provides children and youth with the education and experience to affect positive individual, social, civic, and environmental change.

We mobilize their critical thinking and creative problem solving skills, and connect them with research service learning opportunities and civic engagement where participants use their knowledge and skills to address problems in the field and in their communities. Through courses and workshops participants learn effective advocacy skills. We share our research, study findings, and passion to protect and advocate for our physical landscape and cultural heritage at home, at the state level, and in our nation's capital.

DiveN2Life is an extracurricular STEM Enrichment Program

We utilize SCUBA diving and scientific research diving as the tools to attract and engage young adolescents.

"My daughter started this program a year ago and she has learned respect, integrety, trust, partnership and a love for science."

Mother of Participant, Key West, FL

"My son has been a junior scientific diver with DiveN2Life for one year. These kids go from fins to formal meetings where they speak with our elected officials and stand up for what they believe in. This program has changed his life."

Father of Participant, Summerland Key, FL

"Volunteering with DiveN2Life has been the highlight of my summer over the past two years! As a STEM educator, there is no greater feeling than seeing students engaged in learning, activism, and conservation. DiveN2Life is cultivating the next generation of ocean warriors by immersing students in meaningful and authentic learning environments. As a lifelong learner myself, I deeply enjoy being able to engage in not only marine science education, but also the science of diving. I carry my DiveN2Life experiences with me in my own classroom and try to share my new knowledge with my own students as often as possible. I love volunteering with DiveN2Life and can't wait for the next opportunity to do so!"

Returning Middle School Science and STEM Teacher, Bok Academy, FL

"My collaboration with DiveN2Life this summer has been amazing. We have been able to dive together and sample water at Looe Key to continue my long-term sampling program. And, we were able to capture unique underwater video of the massive Sargassum blooms that were drifting over the reef. Those videos can be seen on The Weather Channel, The Biggest Seaweed Blooms on Earth!"

Visiting University Professor and Researcher, Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute

"I want to thank each and every one of you for making me feel so welcome. I was touched by your kindness. I was proud to be part of such a professional and well-trained group of divers. When we got to the customs and were told 'one kiosk per family,' I expected my new DiveN2Life family to all be gathered around one kiosk. I look forward to our next adventure."

Visiting High School Math Teacher, Archway Academy, TX

"It was a pleasure meeting you as well as all other members of your group. It feels, like you mentioned, like a big family. Thank you for allowing me to become a family member. We will certainly keep in touch to see how we can continue to collaborate in the future. I am already checking out air ticket prices for this Thanksgiving!"

Visiting University Professor, University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus, Graduate School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health

"Such an amazing program and such an inspiration to see a passionate educator reaching and motivating such great students. Great things in motion!"

Visiting Non-Profit Educational Outreach Director, Celebration of the Sea, FL

"DiveN2Life offers amazing educational experiences and opportunities for all of our girls. Their passion for the ocean is encouraged through science and conservation efforts. The summer program was incredible! The travel and diving for our 13-year old daughter made for a summer to remember."

Parent of Three Girls, Key West, FL

"Although we live out of state, my 13-year old son had the good fortune to be able to join this amazing group of educators and young divers during their five-week summer session. He achieved his Jr. Master Diver certification, becoming one of the youngest Master Divers in the world. The end of session dive trip to the Cayman Islands to learn underwater photography, which we joined as a family, was the highlight of our summer. It inspired me to obtain my own Open Water Diver certification. My 19-year old daughter also wants to learn to dive! This is a wonderful program and we can’t wait for our next opportunity to spend time diving and learning with our DiveN2Life family."
